Radicalthrifts models sustainable vintage fashion from the 90’s often saved from the landfills.

Hi all! I’m Marissa, RadRiss, Rad, or Riss whichever you prefer.

You can follow my personal IG here:

I’m the creator, author and curator behind RadicalThrifts. What started out as a hobby and way of income during undergrad has now grown into a vintage thrift shop. Working two jobs (sometimes 3) was never enough for me. In addition to this heavy workload, I would be endlessly studying to earn my Bachelor’s in Sports Industry from The Ohio State University and Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Business from Arizona State University. I’ve always loved shopping at thrift shops, but now it’s a passion of mine and I especially enjoy reworking old clothes to make them new again. Fast fashion is a major contributor to our world’s pollution and employee exploitation, and the clothes don’t last more than a year if that.

Both of my parents collected band tees, but they waited until my 20’s to show me their collections. I feel like this is where my passion for vintage comes from. The music I used to not like when I was a child, I now blast in my living room with my favorite band tee on. So what do you say, join me in a more sustainable lifestyle? Because these rad threads will last you.
